School Counseling Philosophy
As a practicing school counselor, I am committed to implementing a comprehensive, data-driven, and culturally responsive school counseling program that empowers all students to reach their full potential. My student-centered approach focuses on delivering equitable and inclusive interventions across academic, social-emotional, and college and career readiness domains. I prioritize building collaborative relationships with students, families, staff, and community members to create a positive school environment and enhance student outcomes. My practice is grounded in the ASCA National Model and emphasizes advocacy, leadership, and removing systemic barriers to student success. As a lifelong learner, I am dedicated to continuous professional development and upholding the highest ethical standards in the field. My unique background and experiences drive my passion for supporting underrepresented communities and fostering an inclusive educational environment where all students can thrive.
